With the New Year around the corner, many of you might be hosting parties or just celebrating with friends and family. Either way, you are going to want something awesome to eat. And what’s better than bread stuffed with cheese?

Here is what you are going to need:

Go ahead and set your oven to 350 degrees. Then, take your loaf of bread and begin to cut rows from edge to edge, around an inch deep (don’t cut all the way through the bread). Repeat the cutting for the columns.

Then, slice up your cheese into fairly thin slices (unless you are going for the overloaded cheesy effect) and place them into the bread until all of the pockets are filled. Feel free to secretly add extra cheese when your mom isn’t watching.

Next, add spinach to the pockets (I broke them up into smaller slices to make them fit better).

Now to make the sauce. First cut some green onions into fairly small slivers. I got these from our garden!

Then to a bowl, add the green onions, butter, black pepper and roasted herbs to a bowl and mix.

Then add the sauce to the bread and fill all pockets.

Once you have finished stuffing the bread, wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil and place in the oven for around 15-20 minutes. Then remove the top foil (keeping the sides wrapped so it doesn’t fall apart) and allow it to bake for another 10 minutes.

Take it out of the oven and then cut it any way you like.

You can serve the loaf whole and let people pick little bite size pieces out like this.

Or you can cut out slices and give each person a row or two.

But either way, it will be delicious and fun!
