A few weeks ago my brother and I packed our bags and headed over to Los Angeles, California to visit our little cousin. Being that it was our first time in the city, we wanted to act like tourists and see as much as we could in the four days that we had.
My cousin lives in the small town of Alhambra, right outside of LA. Compared to the big city, it was calm, simple and quiet. A lot of the buildings had a strong Hispanic influence.
My cousin goes to California State University at LA, so we visited his campus — it’s huge! It makes UNC look tiny.
When you drive around the outer LA area, you are surrounded by interestingly designed buildings and a lot of ridiculously fast cars.
But the views were also really scenic, with clear blue skies and a lot of mountains.
As tourists do, we decided to go down to Hollywood Boulevard and found the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I think I got down half of one block, got bored and then turned around.
But Hollywood Blvd. itself is so busy and filled with performers and interesting people. Also, a ton of traffic.
Throughout our trip, we visited different museums as well as studios, so I’ll have posts about those soon! Next time I go to LA, what should I see? Let me know in the comments!
