One good thing about North Carolina is that we have a lot of nice beaches. And luckily for us, we are pretty close to the Outer Banks. A few years ago we went out there to see the wild horses, which I blogged about here.

One of the last things we showed our grandparents in our home town was the water front. One because it was really pretty and second because we don’t really have much else to show in the town. Nevertheless, they seemed to really like it.

My grandparents really liked the boats on the docks at the Dismal Swamp, so we decided to take then on a ferry ride in Norfolk, Virginia. The ride itself was around 15 minutes each way. It was cool to see the city from a different perspective.

So last week as I was walking around our house, my mom pointed out her parsley plant. Riddled all over where these small, green insects. Meet the parsley caterpillar.
I spent the day outdoors last week and it was actually a nice change of pace. I’m trying to pull myself away from all of my electronics and force myself to be outside. Photography for me is calming and entertaining — trying to find the perfect shot with the lighting I have. Below are some photos from flowers around my home.
